AWARD CEREMONY

TUKINO VISIBILITY AWARD

The Tukino Visibility Award was created by the Tukino Film Festival in response to the long-standing lack of representation and persistence of stereotypical portrayals of minorities in Czech and Slovak audiovisual production.

The award honours films, series and creators who portray difference with sensitivity, authenticity and without exploitation. It is presented in two categories – Best Romani Representation and Best Minority Representation.

The winners are selected by an expert jury, and each laureate receives an original statuette created by Romani visual artist Maxim Muchow.
